The Therapist

Darlene Ray LMT, NMT

I have always wanted to be in a field where I could help people. I started at a young age as a cosmetologist, and well into my career, I developed major neck and shoulder issues. I sought the help of a massage therapist to relieve my neck issues. I talked to her about her passion and told her I was interested in pursuing g this career further. She sent me to the local massage therapy school that she graduated from. After lengthy discussions with the owners and admissions dept. and much research on my own, it was at that time I realized I wanted to be able to use my ability in this way. Sixteen years later, I am still loving the career path I chose, and not once have I regretted my decision.

I have a passion for therapeutic work and prenatal massage. I truly feel like I am making a difference in my own life and the lives of others with these two modalities. After 3 to 5 sessions of therapeutic work, it is so rewarding to see people experience greater range of motion, freedom from pain or tension, as well as increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days.
